Barbour Park, Paterson, NJ.

NEW YORK, NY (February 9, 2026) – New City Parks is honored to have received a generous employee-directed grant from Regrid in support of our unique park-creation mission in small and midsized cities. Regrid, a leading provider of nationwide parcel data and location intelligence solutions, is rooted in place-based work.

“At the beginning of each year, a rotating group of Regrid teammates is given a budget to donate to nonprofit organizations of their choosing,” said Marquies Harris, a member of Regrid’s Giving Committee. “We were inspired by New City Parks’ mission to create and restore parks in underserved communities across the Northeast.”

Regrid supports organizations known to address land injustice and offer remedies, conduct land conservation and environmental cleanups, and those that advance public understanding of land. Harris noted that “NCP’s work improving access to safe, vibrant public spaces and addressing land equity aligns closely with our commitment to building healthier, more connected communities.”

Since 2020, NCP has built an impressive track record: 22 park projects in eight cities, $64 million raised in capital funding, and seven completed parks now open to their communities with another six under construction.

“As a nonprofit organization founded only five years ago, it is especially gratifying that Regrid took notice of New City Parks. Their support and confidence in us will greatly advance our efforts to create parks for those who lack access to the outdoors,” remarked NCP founder and executive director Rose Harvey.

“On behalf of the NCP board and staff, but most especially on behalf of all of our cities, thank you.”
