Wilfred Nieves

Director of Capital Projects

Wilfred Nieves is a capital projects leader with over a decade of experience across clean energy and conservation. Before joining NCP, he spent several years developing large-scale community solar and battery storage projects across New York and New Jersey. Earlier in his career, he managed over 10,000 acres of conserved land and led capital improvement projects for the Open Space Institute across southern New York, partnering with state, municipal, and nonprofit stakeholders to connect communities to the outdoors.

A native of Puerto Rico, certified yoga instructor, and father of three boys, Wilfred believes that access to parks and public space can transform lives, improve wellbeing, and strengthen communities.

Wilfred holds a B.A. in Environmental Science and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
